Prophetic word

Yhweh has given us the Gift of Prophecy. We each have been chosen to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the prophetic ministry. Amos 3:7 says: “Surely Yhweh will do nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets”. It means that whatever Yhweh does, He is going to do through the prayers of His people. Prophetic ministry is geared to handle this responsibility. That is the reason why Yhweh reveals His reason and purpose to the prophets with the intention that they can pray forth His will on earth. Deuteronomy 18:18 says I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.

What is Prophecy?
Prophecy is uttering the message of Yhweh for a specific time. It is called a divinely inspired utterance or revelation. Thus, a prophet in the bible refers to a spokesperson of Yhweh. It simply means that a person who speaks words that are not from Yhweh is called a ‘false prophet’. A person with gift of prophecy may receive messages in several ways such as visions, dreams, wisdom, judgment and operation of any special gift like teaching, coaching or preaching Yhweh’s message. In biblical times, prophets foreseen the future, enlightened and comforted the un-hopeful, condemned sinful acts, and advocated actions to priests, rulers as well as warned of judgment. The same applies today, Yhweh still reveal His secrets to the chosen ones.

Get your personal prophecy.
If the prophetic word is entirely new to you, then you should go back to Yhweh to the word.

How does Yhweh confirm it to you? Confirmation from Yhweh word involves a three-fold confirmation. It should be from Him, in His word, and with His peace. When you receive a prophecy, ask Yhweh to confirm it to you. Is it really from Yhweh? Is it aligned with His words? Do you have peace in your heart?

Many times, a person’s faith may be put to the test. A person’s faith may be shaken, or even destroyed because of a false prophecy. Even believers are easily deceived of these false prophecies. When the prophecy didn’t materialize in the time expected, many believers get upset which results to wavering faith. What’s worse is that some Christians resort to backsliding and forsaking Yhweh. Scripture says, “Yhweh was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.” (2 Corinthians 5:19).

Yhweh’s confirmations bring peace that no one else can give.

Sometimes, we rely on other people to confirm a prophecy for us. Remember, a prophet’s job is to give the message of the Lord, not to confirm it. You alone can tell if that prophet is authentic or not. Yhweh understands you. He definitely knows what’s in your heart. He knows your needs, and He wants to have a personal relationship with you. He desires that. Yhweh wants to bring you close to Him, and He would love that if you can confirm it with yourself. He gave you wisdom to discern things that are from Him.
